PE Specialist will be working with Data Scientists to solve complex Petroleum Engineering problems by development of digital solutions and automation techniques.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and petroleum experts to support projects addressing key business challenges.
• Apply data-driven methodologies to enhance existing capabilities, develop new solutions, and improve performance.
• Prepare, clean, and document petroleum-related data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and execute algorithms and computational models relevant to petroleum engineering tasks.
• Create clear, visually compelling presentations to communicate results and methodologies to stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Oil & Gas Engineering.
• Professional Background: Experience in petroleum engineering research, preferably within R&D centers or operator company offices (field experience is not applicable).
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB) is highly advantageous.
• Data Science Knowledge: Completion of courses in Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), or Deep Learning (DL) is highly advantageous.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with transforming research concepts into practical software solutions. Experience in developing computational tools or algorithms for petroleum applications. Understanding of statistical and logical analysis techniques relevant to petroleum engineering.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for identifying and implementing effective solutions.
• Technology Orientation: Advanced PC skills, including experience with macros, automation, or data manipulation.

• Relocation to Baku;
• Company provides relocation package, including travel expenses and housing support, up to 1 month while searching for an apartment for rent in Baku;
• Company will not provide accommodation allowance;
• Company helps in obtaining an Azerbaijani Residence Permit;
• 1-year short-term initial contract with future prolongation;
• Standard 5-day work week, 40 hrs a week;
