INTERVIEW WITH CUSTOMER

INTERVIEW WITH CUSTOMER

Amur-Point’s proposal to undergo an interview for an open position indicates pure and simple interest in a job candidate openly shown by Customer. Customers prefer interviewing candidates over the phone taking into account the specific character of projects’ location and remoteness from candidates’ place of residence. This will help you to understand the phone interview process.

Time and date of the interview shall be agreed directly between a candidate and an employer. Duration of a phone interview primarily depends on particularities of an open position. Average interview time ranges within 40-60 minutes. A phone interview with local candidates, as a rule, takes much less time – about 20 minutes. This is quite enough for Customer to identify key points and make a decision on invitation of a candidate for a face-to-face interview.

Fixed phone is recommended to be used for interviews since mobile communication is less reliable as experience shows. A signal can be interrupted during the talk what will lead to additional problems with passing the phone interview.

Skype interview or conference call when several people can have a conversation with a candidate at the same time is possible.

An interview may be held either in Russian or English depending on particularities of a job vacancy. If one of the demands indicated by Customer is fluent English speaking skills, the entire interview will be carried out in English.

Amur-Point has a concern in successful passing of the interview by the candidate; therefore, company’s specialists coordinate candidates at every stage of the interview. Prior to the interview, via means of emails and telephone, the company’s consultants shall prepare the candidate and try to provide the latter with maximum information on the upcoming interview, a company where a candidate is applied for, as well as give total physiological preparation for the candidate to pass the interview with Customer’s representatives.

If a candidate applies for a sufficiently serious vacancy, either any managerial job or a position requiring an employee to have particular competency and the Customer has got interested in this candidate during the phone interview, the applicant will be invited for a face-to-face interview either to the project site or the head office of the company. In this case, the Customer shall pay travel expenses of the relevant candidate to the interview location.

Experience shows that in the majority of cases, an interviewer’s opinion of a candidate and candidate’s competency formed during the phone interview coincides with that one obtained during the face-to-face meeting. Therefore, every candidate should remember that the main thing during an interview is to make a good impression and show high motivation for the said position; while Amur-Point’s personnel will help an applicant prepare for an interview with a potential employer and are ready to give all possible assistance to every candidate for successful passing the interview.
