The project team is located in Baku.
Responsibilities:
Core aim:
- To lead and manage one of the key divisions specializing in geophysics, seismology, and advanced AI/ML technologies
- To take on the responsibilities of organizing and managing the start-up, leading a small team (up to 10 people), and overseeing commercial operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the start-up, ensuring smooth execution of projects and alignment with strategic goals.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively to team members, ensuring successful project completion.
- Develop and implement scalable AI and deep learning models tailored to the needs of different projects.
- Engage in diverse projects across multiple domains, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to timelines.
- Continuously monitor and control the quality of implementation and project outcomes.
- Ensure the integration of advanced AI methodologies into products and solutions, aligning with business goals.
- Collaborate with domain experts to develop a vision and workflows that drive project success.
- Promote a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Oversee the commercial aspects of the start-up, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to support commercial strategies and objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a start-up or tech company, preferably in the AI, ML/DL, or geophysics/seismology sectors.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in geophysics and seismology.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and completing projects.
- Strong organizational and delegation skills, with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to various stakeholders.
- Experience in commercial operations, including budgeting and financial planning.
- Ability to foster partnerships with academic and research institutions.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Geophysics, Data Science).
- Experience in developing and implementing AI models for industrial applications.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to AI solutions.
Work conditions:
- Relocation to Baku. Work in the company office located in the center of Baku; remote work or rotational work methods are not provided.
- The company offers a relocation package, including payment for tickets to Baku, arrangement of a work visa, and rental of a hotel or apartment in Baku for up to one month during the visa processing and housing search period; Signing bonus for relocation expenses cover at first month of arrival; medical Insurance (Family cover); wellness program
- Initial contract for 1 year, with further extension. Official employment according to the Labor Code of Azerbaijan.
- Standard five-day work week, 8-hour workday.
