Company project team is currently located in Baku.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with data scientists, data engineers, and STEM engineers to deliver solutions aimed at underlying business objectives.
- Execute data driven methodologies for invention of new solutions, improvement of performance and existing capability enhancement.
- Implement STEM data preparation, cleaning, and documentation from various sources.
- Produce visuals to share with customers and explain work in easily understandable way.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Oil & Gas Engineering.
- 4+ years of petroleum Engineering experience in operator or R&D company.
- Literacy in Reservoir Engineering, Geology, Petrophysics and Drilling engineering.
- Ability to transform research articles into working solutions.
- Software development experience (is a plus).
- Statistical Inference/Analysis.
- Logical analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, along with strong programming abilities and advanced PC skills, e.g., macros, automation, data manipulation (is a plus).
- Experience in writing Algorithms (is a plus).
- Data driven methods (is a plus).
- AI/ML (is a plus).
- Distinctive analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Efficient time management.
- Leadership of Junior staff.
Work conditions:
- Relocation to Baku;
- Company provides relocation package, including travel expenses and housing support, up to 1 month while searching for an apartment for rent in Baku;
- Company will not provide accommodation allowance;
- Company helps in obtaining an Azerbaijani Residence Permit;
- 1-year short-term initial contract with future prolongation;
- Standard 5-day work week, 40 hrs a week;
- Start date: ASAP.
